Helen Karchner is the CEO and co-Founder of the Karchner Marketing Research, LLC (2003) firm, and the KMR Research Studio (2014) focus group facility.  Helen is also the Founding Principal of the communication consulting firm HK Consulting (1995).  Helen is an expert in both corporate and academic communication, which enhances research and design expertise. She engages this unique talent while initiating and cultivating our KMR-Client strategic relationships. Over the past 34 years, Helen has moderated a variety of qualitative research methodologies for B2Bs and B2Cs, within both the profit & non-profit sectors.As the former Benefit Specialist at John Hancock Insurance, and then later Employee Injury Manager at Community HealthCare, Helen managed the adjudication of their multi-million dollar accounts, and risk management program implementation, respectively. She aggregated and analyzed comprehensive documentation, encapsulating medical/IME records & diagnostic reports with supportive chronologies, then drafted the disability denials used for litigated (ERISA). Helen further utilized her extensive analytical skills to evaluate worker’s comp claims, investigate incidents, interview and dialogue with HCPs, Employers, and Employees, and was integral to WC award mitigation. Through her extensive dialogue negotiations, Helen successfully reduced open/active WC cases by 61% within 1 year. As an Adjunct Professor for Temple Univ., WCU, Ursinus College, and the Texas College Consortium, Helen spent nearly 25 years enjoying her passion, in both the corporate and collegiate sectors.  Her passion included coaching and training speakers and presenters, which ultimately gained her national recognition.  Helen holds a BS in Liberal Studies dual major (Chemistry/Biology & Marketing/Management) with a Minor in Speech Communication, and a Masters in Human Resource Administration, focused on Corporate Communication, from West Chester University.

Mike is the President and co-Founder of KMR (2003). Mike is an expert in leading the design and execution stages of strategic marketing research, having formally worked in marketing and marketing research for the past 30 years.  Although exceptionally passionate in regard to qualitative research, he is also well versed in quantitative research approaches and applications.  Mike was Director of Marketing & Communications Research for Shell Oil, rounding out over a decade of service.  Soon after, he joined Capital One, and played a key role in establishing the marketing research function and meeting the informational needs of several business units, including international, multicultural and B2B.  Later, Mike worked for TNS Healthcare where he was an Account Manager assembling and leading project teams to creatively meet client and research objectives, while honing his qualitative skills as an Associate Director at Adelphi Research by Design.  Mike holds a BA in Marketing from Bloomsburg University and a Minor in Spanish.  He is also an Executive MBA graduate of the Kellogg School of Business, at Northwestern University.
